Choir Members
New choir members are always welcome. We especially welcome tenors and bases (gender unimportant). We hold no auditions but we expect you to have some ability to read music.
We rehearse on Thursday evenings at Barrington Village Hall, TA19 0JE .

Patrons and Friends
SSCS would like to thank our Patrons and Friends for your support. It has been much appreciated and of great benefit to the choir, helping us to sing a wide range of choral works in a range of venues across south somerset. In March 2025 we tackled perhaps the greatest (and most complex) of choral works, the St. Matthew Passion by JS Bach, with excellent support from the children's choir at North Perrot School, in the beautiful church of St. John's Church, Yeovil: a first for the choir.
Tricia Toosey has taken on the job of secretary for the Patrons and Friends group. If, as we hope, you are willing to continue your support as Patron or Friend, please confirm this by contacting her at the address shown below. She is also keen to receive any queries or suggestions and, of course, any help you can give us in finding new members of the group.
We would like to include names of Patrons and Friends on our website. If you do NOT wish to put your name on this list, please let Tricia know.
Patrons’ fees are a minimum £50.00 for the year. This includes one free ticket for each main concert and reserved seats at the concert if you wish, plus a listing in your complementary programme.
Friend’s fees are a minimum of £20.00 for the year which include up to 2 tickets, each reduced by £2.00, for each main concert, reserved seats at the concert if you wish, plus a listing in your complementary programme.
